    Phone and Wallet fades

I noticed in the Fade Friday featuring Joshua Le's Blue in Green denim (http://www.rawrdenim.com/2011/09/fad...nths-0-washes/) there are no pocket and wallet fades. Is the only way to not get those, to not put stuff in your pocket? Because I like the look of no pocket fades.

You got it. There are no pocket or wallet fades because I kept my phone and wallet in my jacket or bag. I've started putting my wallet in my back pocket purely out of convenience lately. That's the downside of having wallet/phone-free jeans. You gotta weigh the pros and cons.

Are your jeans starting to fade where you put your wallet now?

It'll also make a difference what your wallet or phone is like. I've found the iPhone 4 I currently carry in my pocket causes really extreme fades relative to the smoother edged iPhone 3GS I used to have.

I also personally avoid sitting with my wallet in my back pocket (more from a posture/comfort thing than any thing else), and that definitely seems to slow down any fades.

Will the holes in my backpocket blow out more, if I don't patch them? I like how they look now and I don't want to have a huge hole trough the whole pocket.

I currently have an HTC Thunderbolt right now but I carry it in my bookbag or sweater pocket. With summer coming up, I know this will become really inconvenient, especially if I'm just going biking or something. I will most likely be getting an iPhone 4 (or whatever's most current) around November/December but for now, do you guys recommend putting my HTC in my pocket? Once I switch to an iPhone, I'd use that in the alternate front pocket. My rear pockets are already filled and I would never sit on my phone anyway.
