have seen little to no mention of Retaw for Denim. Happened upon it in a store, bought it.

Don't know how it compares to Fabreeze (it is certainly pricier) but i have had a good experience; spraying, then airing what i call "begining to need washed" denim.

I dont use the "freezer" trick, preferring to wash clothes if they get bad enough to do something that (frankly) the science doesn't support.

What i do though is regularly hang any denim on a washing line on a breezy day and use the above fabric freshener. You may have noticed that in the fold underneath the selvedge their is often a fairly unpleasant build up of what could be compared to belly button fluff. I take a tissue and scratchily remove all the built up gunk and then spray a tissue with the retaw and rub it into the material where the gunk was. (i dont really want to know what the gunk is)

    My raw-denim wear-in tips:
    1. Wear your jeans daily with all your activities and with wallet, keys, phone in your pockets.
    2. On the first day I spray the honeycombs and whisker-area with some water (make it not too wet) and squat down and jump like
a frog for 5 minutes. It?s resulting in deep creases on these areas.
    3. Wear it with big cuffs to show the selvedge.
    4. Air it weekly at night, especially in foggy nights. Also breezy nights are recommended.
    5. On a bright day, give your jeans a sun-bath during the whole day.
    6. After 6 months of wear, I do the first soak with my jeans in the sea or the bath-tube and let it dry on my body. Resulting in
a perfect body-shape of your jeans.
    7. Wear it again and sometimes take a normal wash-cycle (and put it on when damp).
    8. Always repair the tears (the first one always occurred in the crotch-area. I repair them with love and care with my Singer
machine (my big ?friend? for jeans).
    9. Never throw your jeans away and repair it over and over!

That?s what I always do with my lovely raw Levi?s 501xx shrink-to-fit and LVC 501?s and every day I am very lucky to jump in this beauties.
A day without jeans is a spoiled day!

I have a very sturdy clothes hanger that exactly matches my waist measurements, when I'm breaking in a new pair that's tight at the waist I button them up and push the hanger in to the waist when I'm not wearing them. This helps with the initial stretching without putting to much stress on the jeans. Likewise after washing I hang them with the hanger in to keep the waist at the right size. Works a treat.

When you sunbathe your raws, do you turn them inside-out?
