    Levi 520 Heavy Tumble

So I've been wearing these Levi's for about 88 days without wash, I recently went to a bonfire and they smell like smoke so since I was hanging them to air out I figured I might as well post a picture of the fades. They're subtle but its there. I was worried about fading because they aren't Levi's rigid or raw but last month they've fully broken in and now fading. I got these about half way through my senior year of high school and they've been with me through it all. I lost about 20 lbs since I bought these so now they fit rather loose up top, thankfully its a taper fit and I own a belt. There a couple food and drink spills on them but its cool, the first spill I got on them I wasn't thinking and I tide-to-go'ed the spot (bad move). you'll notice fades at the knees, cuff, back pockets, and a few other places. Let me know what you think.

I'm looking for a jean that ends well normally for an individual look for a guy. I like a pointed fit since I'm a little big in the upper leg and chair. Also how do the Undressed and Popular Strawberry denims fade? If you have any recommendations that aren't on the record just keep it $150.

Ends normally? Undressed and Popular Strawberry? Just keep it $150?

Sorry mate...Is this the work of Google Translate? 'cause I'm not quite following.

I think I might be able to translate most of this:

"I'm looking for a jean that fades nicely with minimal wear, producing a uniquely "personalized" look. I'm not looking for super-skinny jeans, which I think look like women's jeans. I'd like a tapered fit, since I'm a little big in the thighs and seat.

Also, how do the Naked and Famous Raspberry Scratch-and-Sniff jeans fade? Otherwise, could you recommend some jeans that would meet my criteria and cost less than $150?"*

*I must admit, I'm guessing a bit on those last two sentences. He could be referring to the scratch-and-sniff jeans I mentioned, or he might mean either the red weft or redcore jeans N&F released not too long ago. Also, I'm not sure if I correctly interpreted "recommendations that aren't on the record" or "just keep it $150."

ETA: Anybody want to front the capital to start a rogue denim brand called "Undressed and Popular," to compete with N&F? We could develop lemon-scented jeans, purplecore jeans, jeans lined with silk...

English Pontificators: Nice stab at translating. For another piece in the puzzle, I'm thinking he could be talking about Naked and Famous Pomegranate. That's the closest thing I can get out of "Undressed and Popular Strawberry", because it seems like the "Raspberry Scratch-n-Sniff" would have been translated to "Strawberry Itch-n-Snort", which sounds abysmally funny. Someone should send this thread to Brandon over at N&F; I bet he'll get a kick out of it.

kenethseria, are these the jeans you are asking for: Naked and Famous Pomegranate?

Ok, so now I'm at day 105 fades are coming along nicely, the tide-to-go spot is still annoying but hopefully it evens out after the first wash. i plan on washing them at day 180 so just a little longer to go, I will put up pictures of before and after the wash

I'm ALL for starting that brand, man. That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. How about a pair for women called "Bride of Frankenstein" to compliment their good old Franks?

OK, so I've been lazy and haven't uploaded any pictures but as of right now I'm at like day 300 with 2 washes in (I would have waited longer but a party at Penn State got them pretty funky)

Fade Progress: there's a good amount of wear and tear in the crouch but I highly doubt there will be a blow-out, knees and behind the knee are looking awesome, phone wallet and keys are leaving nice fades in the pockets, the cuff and bottom of the jeans are now evenly worn in since I no longer can cuff them (shrunk in the wash).

Some Interesting Fades: area above phone pocket is significantly lighter from my hand going in and out to get my phone, there is a fade starting in coin pocket from where I keep my iPod, the corners of the back pockets are severely worn in, and the area where I keep my pocket knife is getting WRECKED (I only started carrying one around Christmas and its putting in holes). The Tide-To-Go spots evened out a little after the first wash, I'm still going to avoid it for my next pair

Problems: Whiskers or general fades in the thigh area are minimal (other than my phone) I assume its because they fit loose in the thigh butt area but i'm only guessing. As I said above they shrunk a decent amount in length after the first wash (will be drying them upside down from now on)

So far I like these jeans as a way to get into raw denim, my only issue is the fit is too loose in the thigh, waist, and butt (I have lost wait but I went to the store and tried on a size smaller with the same issue) If you have any suggestion for my next pair of raws let me know, I'd like a tapered fit that fits slimmer to than the 520's and is under $175, Thanks
