I don't like the back pocket design that Momotaro does, but the fading on it looks pretty great here.
@wistukb. They talk a bit about the lineage of the design in this video PRACT Denim's Japan Trip Pt. 2 at about 5:40. Personally I appreciate it more now knowing why it's there.
Oh yeah, I saw that when it was posted and definitely gained some appreciation, but it's not aesthetically pleasing to me.

I would say that the seawash was the trigger. Until now, I think the contrast was because of the 2 hand wash which I used kaminari soap. Thanks for the comment
