Raw denim for kids

I have an 8yo boy and would love to get him some inexpensive raws. Does anyone know of some good raw denim jeans for boys? I know that that's how they "used" do it...but I'm wondering if anyone still does. Lee? Levis? Wrangler?

Of course, because he's a boy, we'll probably be washing them more than I was my jeans (hardly ever), fades probably won't be as drastic. I may challenge him to a little fade contest, thought.

he would grow out of them before any fades show up. If you could get some for stupid cheap it may be ok but i wouldnt put an 8 yr old in raws. People wear raws for like a yr or more to get good fades you'll have to buy a new pair in like what 6 months? it doesnt seem practical.

If they still made Levis STFs for kids, I'd be all over that. He would wear into a good pair of jeans way faster than I would.
