Thread: Waist Alterations?

    Waist Alterations?

so there was a pair of Naked and Famous slimguys on sale, for SIXTY DOLLARS. of course I had to cop.

only problem is they are size 32, and I wear a 30 or 29. now a belt is keeping them up just fine, but I'm thinking it would be best to just get them altered when I get them hemmed.

does anybody have any experience? tips? price guestimate?

any and all help is appreciated! thanks!

I had a pair altered in Vancouver for $25. They did a good job - brought in the waist and but by about an inch. Looked good and felt much better. I would recommend it if you trust the tailor.

Where did they take the inch from? Seems like this would be tough to do right and still make things like the belt loops stay in reasonable places.

they took a half inch from either side. Its just like getting a pair of dress pants taken in.

Cool. Need to admit I'm not that familiar with getting dress pants taken in either, but I'll look it up!

Did some reading, and this makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking. For some reason I was thinking you'd take it in on the front, and I was worried about how the fly would be affected. Turns out you take it in on the back; which makes way more sense now that I think about it.
