Rawr Denim explains Pima Cotton
First cultivated in Peru, pima cotton is named in honor of the Pima Indians who helped raise the plant on farms in Arizona at the beginning of the twentieth century. Today, it is grown mainly in the southwest United States.
Similar in many ways to Egyptian cotton, pima cotton is much more durable and has a greater absorbency than most other types of cotton.
