What does Fox Fiber mean?

Fox fiber colours grow best without chemicals, opening the door to organically grown cotton, the Colorganic cotton. Three shades are available today, Coyote Brown, Buffalo Brown and Palo Verde Green.

Heddels explains Fox Fiber

Named for Sally Fox, fox fiber was created in 1989. Although she did not invent colored cotton, Fox was able to improve upon its previously weak fiber quality and make it a viable choice for commercial production.

The first two colors she produced – celadon green and a reddish brown – became instantly popular. Fox fiber doesn’t require bleaching or dyeing and is thus a more environmentally friendly type of cotton.
