Fade of the Day – A.P.C. Petit Standard (1 Year, 9 Months, 3 Soaks)

We love getting submissions like these A.P.C. Petit Standard‘s for a couple of reasons. One, the fades are dope and secondly, the journey they’ve been through is even better. Kurt Metscher from Texas wore these through a summer trip to Japan and Southeast Asia. Metscher hiked and took classes in Southern Japan before moving on to do field work in Malaysia and Thailand. These were the only pair of jeans he took with him and after three months, it shows.

The light color in his fades are the classic A.P.C. color that we all know and love. His honeycombs are only achieved by hard wear but with hard wear comes hard repairs. The crotch was repaired twice and the entire left hem bursted at one point. With only three soaks under his belt, his fades are really impressive but I’m sure the daily monsoons in Malaysia had a contributing factor.

Also, for those of you who noticed the little circle in his watch pocket, that’s the hard fade of his AA chip. Just another reminder of his daily triumph.
