We’re going full on raw for this week’s Fade Friday, with this pair of Samurai Jeans that have never seen the inside of a washing machine. Reader Mitchell Lucas has worn his pair of 21 oz. S510xx jeans for almost six years without washing them.

For the first nine months, Lucas wore this pair completely raw before giving them a soak by wearing them in the bathtub for 20 minutes. No doubt, this no-wash regimen is what led the high contrast fades and deep indigo color still present in these jeans.

After almost six years, Lucas has had to repair the crotch on this pair to keep it alive. Here’s to keeping them raw and kicking for many more years.
