Today’s fade might have some of the most interesting wear usage out of any of the fades we’ve had in a while. Reader Anthony Tedhy of Germany wore these Pure Blue Japan jeans while in senior high school in Indonesia. However, his school uniform consisted of grey trousers. The solution? Tedhy altered his school uniform pants to make them looser, and then wore these jeans underneath, all in 85 degree Fahrenheit weather.

Tedhy even decided to experiment with these jeans by soaking them in black tea for two days. It didn’t really do anything, he admits, but it’s certainly a novel idea. Besides, the jeans have faded wonderfully in the meantime to reveal the trademark slubbiness of a pair of PBJs.
