The $846 Naked & Famous Tokushima Hand-Dyed Weird Guy

Naked & Famous certainly does a lot to gain the attention they have. Scratch-n’-sniff denim, carpet-thick fabric for 32oz. denim, and of course rainbow core denim. Their latest pair of jeans, the Tokushima Hand-Dyed Natural Indigo is just as crazy but for reasons more… artisanal? Think of it like the wagyu beef of denim.

The fabric for this jean is produced by hank dyeing, a time consuming and laborious process. It uses natural indigo too, adding to the amount of time (and money) needed to produce just one lot. And to make matters more artisanal, it’s also hank dyed by hand rather than using a hank dyeing machine. The resulting denim, not unlike the aforementioned beef, is soft and wildly varied in texture. Check out that slub!
