Carhartt Work in Progress, Carhartt’s more fashion forward line, together with Italian retailer Slam Jam have recently released the second drop of their collaboration entitled “Boom Town Slickers”. In celebration of Slam Jam’s 25th anniversary, the collection is being released in a total of five drops, each with its own distinct focus.
This one is focused on raw denim, updating classic Carhartt pieces to fit a contemporary vision. The Michigan Coat for instance is a classic chore coat in a sturdy 11.75 oz. raw denim fabric and remains understated until opened, revealing a red bandana lining. The same bandana fabric is also used in the collection to line a denim tote bag as well as for one side of their reversible denim bucket hat.
