Levi’s Launches Selvedge Made In USA Collection

To commemorate 100 years with Cone Mills, America’s original denim maker, Levi’s recently launched their Made in USA collection using all selvedge denim. They’ve begun with their classic 501 Shrink-to-Fit jean in both men’s and women’s as well as their Sawtooth Denim Western Shirt. This isn’t a Levi’s Vintage Clothing reproduction, but an actual Levi’s mainline collection offering denim products with current styles.

If you’re expecting these to blow you out of the water, you’ll be disappointed. Other than using selvedge denim from the Cone Mills White Oak Plant and sewing the garments in Los Angeles, the Made in USA collection won’t do much for hardcore denimheads. Prices fall within the entry level range with the raw 501’s retailing for $148 and the Sawtooth retailing for $128.

You can find them all on Levi’s website.
