AFTER

A.P.C.s are often considered the “gateway denim”. They’ve been around for so long and have been so widely available that many start their raw denim journey in the Atelier de Production et Creation. Such was the case with Will Edem, whose been working on his pair of New Cure’s for over four years now.

The New Cure is the slimmest in A.P.C.’s lineup, with a tight top block that straightens out instead of the typical taper towards the hem. This unusual shape means the jean couldn’t maintain a straight outseam and has a stitch on the cuff instead of a selvedge.

Will hasn’t worn his jeans particularly hard, keeping mainly to casual wear during the winter, but time has taken its toll. He had an early crotch blowout repaired by Denim Doctors in his native Los Angeles, but kept going strong until the butt blew out, making them a bit too casual for daily wear. Will says he naturally sags his pants, plus he’s on the shorter side so he’s got some amazing stacks and honeycombs. Have a look at the full pics above.
