Fade Friday – Left Field Indigo Canvas Chino (6 months, 2 washes)

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Christian McCann and his crew at the Left Field HQ out in Ridgewood, Queens. One of the many items he had out on display was a pair of well-worn indigo duck chinos. The idea was to have a versatile pant you could wear to work, camping, or out to dinner and still produce some great fades. The pair we saw definitely proved that last point.

The inky-dark canvas had developed an amazing off-grey patina with super high-contrast around areas of constant wear like the front pockets and back seat. Even though this pair has a fuller fit, the wearer still earned some impressive combs and whiskers.

Cone Mills has unfortunately discontinued the selvedge duck canvas for these pants, so snap up one of the last few pairs while you still can. Have a look at the full pics below.
