Fade Friday: Baldwin Denim The Henley (4 years, 6 soaks, 0 washes)

Over the past three years of Fade Friday, we’ve featured denim that’s been soaked in mud, chopped in half, and worn everyday for almost a year and a half. So it takes a truly destroyed pair of jeans to catch our attention. Today’s jeans are one such pair.

Dated to February of 2010, this is one of the first pairs of jeans that Baldwin Denim ever produced. They’re still soldiering on over four years later. Owner Jeremy Burch has worn them through pretty much everything: motorcycle maintenance, camping, and climbing. All this activity has taken its toll, necessitating repairs in both knees, both thighs, the crotch, the saddle, and both back pockets.

If scars are the sign of a life well lived, these jeans have nothing to regret. See the full pics below.

Baldwin offers their full line online or in it’s stores.

Wow, these are epic. Wish I could see them under some better lighting conditions but this is one of the best totally blown-out pairs I’ve ever seen.

But, isn’t this pair produced by an uninspired American brand with no unique back story?

Total Porn. Thanks for sharing. Perhaps a mention of the Repair shop also please? Nice knee repair.

Although this pair may be from before baldwin opened up the shop, they now do all their repairs in their men’s shop in KC. I’ve had a great experience with their repairs.

This is like nothing I’ve seen! Those combs are insane! Check out that leg twist though..! Truly vintage style. Everybody hates leg twist, but this is so brutally and beautifully beaten up, it’s almost beautiful.

Everybody hates leg twist? Dunno where you live but there are a lot that embrace the leg twist…

Most folks on the reddit forums who have mentioned it don’t seem to like it. Sorry for making a point in passing without having the researched empirical data to back up the statement.
