New Release: Ande Whall Special Roll 8

Ande Whall, the mad denim genius from New Zealand, is back with the eight iteration of his Special Roll series. As we’ve come to expect from his offerings, there are a slew of unique details–both external and internal. The denim itself is a lighter weight than the past couple of Special Rolls.

At 13 ounces, it’s solidly in the mid-weight category, and will be a nice choice for the warmer summer months. The denim has super dark indigo warp and a khaki-colored weft, which will produce a distinctive, dirty fade. The trademark Wings on the back pockets come in a dark blue petrol color that will fade as the jeans age, and two-tone lemon and beige thread is utilized throughout. Sticking to his western theme, Whall has chosen a blue paisely printed on denim for the front-pocket lining, while the back and watch pockets feature classic red bandanna lining.

Sticking to his dedication to solid and clean construction, the denim features a brand staple in hand-felled seams, along with a super-strong poly-core cotton wrap thread. Add this to the x-bar-tacked back pockets, and the jeans should stand up to some serious punishment. There are the four standard fits, ranging from super slim to loose. As with his other Special Rolls, this run is limited to only 21 pairs, so to be sure to pull the trigger if you’re on the fence: they will sell out.
