Kamikaze Attack x Tate + Yoko Limited Edition 24 Oz. New Release

Boutique Japanese brand Kamikaze Attack has been featured here on Rawr Denim before, and their exploits in heavyweight denim has been chronicled as well. This time, the Kojima-based brand has one-upped everything they have done previously with the Kamikaze Attack Limited Edition 24 Oz. Indigo Slim Straight. The weight is no joke, evident in the fact that these jeans were also baptized “Castration Weapons Kamikaze Ball Crusher of Hell.” Yikes.

The jeans, made exclusively for Tate + Yoko feature a mid-rise and a slim straight fit which does allow for some room inside these veritable walls of denim. There’s an indigo warp and a gray weft, which gives the unsanforized 100% Zimbabwe cotton denim a unique cast. Other details include contrast orange stitching, chain-stitched back pocket details, hidden copper rivets, and printed pocket bags. A gold selvedge ID finishes everything off nicely.

Made in Japan, Kamikaze Attack keeps it small and local. Their story has been detailed before–brand owner Mr. Kanazawa decided to create his own denim label after working in a tattoo shop. The denim his brand produces is based on quality goods he couldn’t find himself, so the interested customer knows there’s a certain amount of pride in every piece.

As previously mentioned, these jeans are a limited edition and are only available at Tate & Yoko, so be sure to take a spin over there to check them out after you take a look at the details and photos below, including pics from Tate + Yoko/Naked & Famous founders Brandon Svarc and Bahzad Trinos’ trip to the Kamikaze Attack factory in Kojima.

What’s the inseam on these? Is there a reason why the jeans are like 1/5 cuff?

    • Altoclefchris

It’s probably 38 or something like that, it seems a lot of the japanese brands produce their jeans with very long inseams.

    • RustyShackleford

First, it’s unsanforized so there will eventually be a ton of shrinking on the inseam which can possibly be 36″+. Second, the model could have incredibly short legs making the already large cuffs look larger. Third, the massive cuff could simply be an aesthetic choice.
