Fade Friday – Nudie Thin Finn Dry Ecru Embo (2+ Years, 1 Wash, 2 Soaks)

For this week’s Fade Friday, we turn to our own reader and forum member, Dlaz, who has a pair of Nudie Thin Finn jeans that are showing some serious wear. Over the course of 2+ years, the jeans have been ripped and faded to a light blue color that can only be achieved with continuous wear over a long period of time.

Dlaz also took pictures every few months as well pre and post wash pictures to give a better idea of how the jeans age at various points in time. While they don’t show the high contrast wear marks that is prized by so many denim heads, the lighter and thin fabric on the jean softens up considerably and show some great whiskers and lines throughout.

    lol nudies

Good fades are good fades, no matter what brand it is. Just because these aren’t Samurai’s or Flat Head’s doesn’t mean you should “lol” at them.

rather, you should “lol” at them because theyre 2% lycra.

        • Vinyl Scratch

That still doesn’t undermine the point that the fades look nice.

It’s a well-known fact that Nudie isn’t the best brand out there, so if anything, that should make this result all the more impressive.

I’m more impressed than lolling at the fades achieved with a 2% lycra jean

Those were not worn consistently for 2 years

Thank you for not doing stupidly over contrasted pictures.

    What’s wrong with nudie??
If it wasn’t for it, not many people today would get into raw denim.

Unbelievable fades considering those are less than 11 oz, all due respect, but I have to wonder how bad did these crotch blow? and how are your legs small enough to somehow make thin finns look like they actually dont suffocate your thighs? So were clear I used to wear a pair of these back in high school before I realized that thigh circulation was actually pretty great and heavy denim was the way to go

Whats this on fade friday??? So boring and make me think: dont by nudies.

Thank you to Diaz for taking the time to document and share… but these are just awful. (Not the evo, but the design of the Nudies.) The shape of that Yoke is so bizarre, way too deep and with such an odd shape, making all the material bunch up around the hips and putting a crosshairs right across the rear end. The pockets are already absurdly deep and narrow but then thats further exaggerated by the late start they get after that yoke is finished – so now they basically appear on the thighs. Makes me think of those terrible evisu with the pockets all over. Sorry, but this is just awful stuff…

i think the thin finn drop yoke looks flattering … i like it anyway, i need the extra room back there
