Great jeans, very happy with my pair of S003JP’s. Also available at DC4 Berlin.

What about the Samurai 25th anniversary 25 oz. type 2 Jacket …?

    • BillygoatsGruff312

Or the 25oz mid straights? To my knowledge this is the only other 25oz denim in the world besides IH..it might actually be more than 25oz post soak b/c they are raw. I’d love a comparative review of IH-XHS denim vs. Samurai 25oz.

      • thelad

Can’t comment on a comparison on the 25oz’s but I’m currently eight weeks shy of a year long, six month each jean comparison on IH 23 oz 634SR vs Sam S510XX 24oz.

          comparison?

Price wise: my Sam’s were around £75 less expensive than the IH as I imported them direct from Japan, my IH came from Gosport.
Fit: IH’s are a little tight around the waist and rear so are a bit difficult to bend down in, not so keen on the rise either, Sam’s are the opposite, perfect in the rise but a tad too loose elsewhere.
Finish: Over all IH’s finishing is better than the Sam’s with the belt loops being stitched into the waistband & more use of selvedge use throughout being the highlights, Sam’s use of better custom hardwear & the jacquard pocket bags are as always a nice touch.
Fades: As of this moment the slubbier Sam’s have more fade in the thighs and knees, IH’s have it more in the calf’s(this could be due to suprisingly always wearing these whenever I get caught in the rain & snow) & slightly better fading at the back of the knees too. Funnily enough both have more fade on left hand side than the right.

Bought my Samurai last week from Son of a Stag in London.
Also bought Secret denim ONI jeans about 3 weeks ago from same place. Going to compare the wear between them – will wear them evenly. Anyone know how the 2 jeans compare after say 2 years wear ?

  • denim4denimsake

$385 for these jeans! Anyone who thinks the price is ok, is well whatever.
Buy a pair for $60 and donate the rest to someone who needs it.

This is a wild guess but the people spending that amount of money on a pair of jeans are the guys who wont give one cigarette to a down and out human, or even a dollar.

    really bad form.
