Pronto Denim x Unbranded 18 Oz. Brown Weft Selvedge Raw Denim

Unbranded x Pronto Denim

As the name implies, Unbranded has typically maintained a minimal, low-profile, and more affordable approach; leaving collaboration and experimental design to their sister company, Naked and Famous, until now. In addition to the co-produced 25 Oz. PIH2DC released at last month’s 2013 Pronto Denim CarnivalPronto Denim also unveiled the first-ever collaboration for Unbranded - the Pronto x Unbranded 18 Oz. Brown Weft Selvedge.

Fits offered are the Skinny (118) and Tapered (218), and the denim features a brown weft – which should lead to some interesting fades – weighing in at 18 Oz.; another Unbranded first. Though we’ll leave judgement up to you, the camouflage pocket bags seem like the most flagrant violation of Unbranded‘s traditional “no branding, no washes, no embroidery” ethos.

The jeans were only available at the show, though I did find at least one user selling a pair on a Thai message board. Hopefully this first branch out into collaborative territory means Unbranded intends to give their North American fans a similar offering in the near future.

    Those look really good

The quality of the jeans appears to be pretty good, but yeah, I have to agree that the camo print and the idea of having a collab in the first place does seem to violate the ethos of Unbranded.

Why didnt they do it with n&f instead? I feel like unbranded has been getting a bit out of hand. They should stick to just making solid basics at a solid price.

      • Narcissus

They did it with N&F in the previous year. Despite being a collab with more branding the price of these jeans are still lower than the 21oz version.

Even though I dislike unbranded I must admit that these look pretty good.

They look like Red Wing Heritage no. 875 or 877.

Yes, very weak ideals from Unbranded by making a collab. The camo pocketbag is very cheesy. They do have a very promising fabric and cuts, but what’s with the dark photographs? To show a concept? People tend to look at how it looks, not how cool the photo is. Just my 2cents.
