Naked & Famous are known for pioneering and carving new venues into the denim industry, and this newly released Skinny Boy Glow in the Dark Denim is an example of just that. This jean represents the first instalment of their children’s line, which will debuted in full in the near-term future. Selvedge will also be added into the later pieces.

These jeans are the same Glow in the Dark jean that they unveiled in their previous season, but miniaturized. They are able to glow in the dark due to their ability to absorb light. So the more that they’re worn in the light, the longer that they’ll glow.

Included with the jean is a mini UV-light, so that kids can get them to glow whenever they want. N&F will be doing sizes 2 – 12 (only even sizes) and each jean will have an adjustable waist, which is very suiting for growing children.

Too much chemical for the critical area??

  • Sam

It makes sense for kids and I think that its a cool idea. On adults, not so much.

    • ijustwishi

That’s exactly how I feel. Great for kids but the fact that any adult would,or has, bought these for themselves is crazy to me.

Word. I’ll give them props for actually finding a good use for glow in the dark denim. I could see little kids thinking these are the coolest jeans ever. The idea of selvedge kids jeans is kinda cool too I guess, but it might be a little much. I wonder how much they’re going to be charging for these. I would actually consider getting these for my little twin girls if they were reasonably priced and/or on sale. N&F should limit all their over the top ideas (like scratch and sniff denim)
        to the kids line.

I can see this being fun (as an adult) in very specific situations, like at a rave or something. Outside of that? Not so much…

Part of me likes the astroboy logo better than the naked girl on my patch, but that’s ’cause I wear my jeans to work and am always slightly afraid that someone’s going to notice it…

  • Devan Prithipaul

That patch looks a lot like Astroboy…almost too much.

  • Vinyl Scratch

As soon as I saw these, I was wondering what they were going to do with the patch design for children.

I’m pleased at the Astroboy-esque result. It looks pretty cool.

  • Action Jackson

n&f are little ass kids jeans, period. so this makes sense.

  • Marco

It would be cool if they used that patch in some of the adult sized pairs. A kids line if denim is a good idea but the pricing must be reasonable because I doubt parents want to spend 100 plus dollars for their kids jeans

“which will debuted in full in the near-term future.”

    woooooaaah

    • Altoclefchris

That said, at least they’re not trying to put selvage denim on little kids like nudie and others.
