Rogue Territory Fall/Winter 2013 – Stanton Jeans, Jackets, and More

For many of us, Summer is coming to a close and we’re heading into the Fall and Winter seasons. This means that it’s that time for brands to shift away from lighter weight fabrics, shorts, and short sleeves and bring forth heavier jeans, jackets, and warm shirts for their FW 2013 collection. Usually when we talk with brands – especially smaller brands – about their new collection, it entails a handful of new products that in itself is already an impressive feat.

Karl Thoennessen and company of Rogue Territory have decided that 2013 was the year to go big and have released a collection that contains over 10 new products that range from new models of their popular jeans, jackets, and shirts to new additions to their non-denim options. Given our denim focus here at Heddels, we’ll concentrate on the denim options. However, don’t forget to head over to the Rogue Territory site to see the full collection.

Rogue Territory is probably best known for their Stanton jean which is a slim straight jean with a mid rise. For this season, they’ve added a black warp Stanton made from a 14.5 oz selvedge denim from Nihon Menpu to go along the existing Stanton versions.

What’s interesting is that they decided to release two versions of the black warp: a standard black jean with tonal stitching and also a version with contrast stitching, which is a great option for those who want a black jean that still retains the contrast stitch look commonly seen with indigo jeans.

They also added a 14.5 oz 100% pure indigo-dyed Stanton with tonal stitching that starts off as more understated but will show more character as it begins to fade.

Lastly, two non-Stanton styles round out the jean collection – a double black “stealth” RK trouser made from a 15 oz. sulfur dyed selvedge denim and a black warp tonal stitching SK jean. With the RK trouser, it’s important to understand that there will be a sulfur scent on the jeans that will dissipate after a couple weeks of wear (though we’ve heard from a past reader that the oven treatment is an effective cleaning solution).

As if releasing 5 different jeans at one time wasn’t enough, Rogue Territory has also expanded their collection of denim shirts and jackets. Their denim Supply Jacket, which has a unique design that is different from the Levi‘s style denim jackets, makes a comeback in three different versions.

The first two jackets utilize the same denim found in 100% indigo dyed Stanton and the Stealth RK trouser, while the third jacket uses a 14.5 oz light blue broken twill denim from Cone Mills. As with the previous Supply Jackets, these feature 4 pockets, adjustable waistband, branded buttons, and chain stitched seams.

As for their shirts, three more work shirts come on board in the forms of a 10 Oz. “flecked” selvedge denim shirt, a grey caste 10 oz. selvedge denim shirt, and 11 oz natural herringbone work shirt. The design of the work shirts are similar and include details such as a double needle placket, chainstitch run-off on the sides, a pen slot on the front flap pocket, and triple needle chainstitched seams.
