Self Edge x Dry Bones Natural Indigo Hank Dyed Jeans (SEXDB19)

Self Edge x Dry Bones Natural Indigo Hank Dyed Jeans (SEXDB19)

It’s no secret that Self Edge has been one busy shop as of late. You might think the team would have their hands completely full with the recent launch of their hemming services, Darn-It!, and upcoming opening of their new brick and mortar location (more details coming soon), but you’d be sorely mistaken. For the last few months, they’ve been developing a one-of-a-kind collaborative denim with Dry Bones – the Natural Indigo Hank Dyed Jeans (SEXDB19).

Though the denim has all the details we’ve come to expect with Self Edge collaborations, what really differentiates this piece from the rest is the fabric. Not only is the SEXDB19 comprised of 100% natural indigo-dyed yarns, it’s also been hank-dyed; a time-consuming process and leads to a heavier dyed denim with a more soft feel.

As the denim is manufactured in such a time-consuming and costly process, availability is limited to 95 pairs and will be open for purchase at 10:00am PDT at Self Edge‘s site.

Seriously some beautiful denim right here.

  • PeterPiper

    Yes. Beautiful, but 575$? Seriously?

    • Geoff Dick

Heck of a lot cheaper than other jeans dyed with natural indigo. The Samurai and PBJ offerings are between $650 and $850 dollars. And I would even argue they are not only a more attractive fit, but have more attractive details than the $850 Samurais. Except those have gold plated buttons. Thats a badass detail.

$575 unsanforized straight fit. happy sizing games everyone.

  • whorebucks

    ridiculous pricing.

    • Self Edge – Kiya

Or you can buy essentially a very similar jean from 45RPM (Jomon) for $800.

What’s the difference between a Cartier and a rolex watch? doesn’t matter, can’t afford either.

      • onekae

The color variation achieved on these actually look more interesting and streaky than Jomon so it can be argued that it’s a “bargain” relatively speaking, but boy, the price is going to deter most of the users/commenters on this site.

  • FRINGECLASS

damn, dope. so basically these will be tough as shit to fade?

    • Grazfather x

Yeah probably. Dyed blue right to the core.

  • Johnson Benjamin

That really is some beautiful fabric. Would love to actually feel it.

it is slubby as anything. if you’ve ever felt strike gold denim or ONI, it’s even slubbier than that. the crazy thing is seeing the parts of the fabric where the loom got stuck.
