Paul's first experience with raw denim was at the age of 10 when his parents purchased him a pair of raw Lee Jeans. After many years, he found the very same pair of jeans in the U.S. and since then his interest in denim became a passion. Now based in Holland, Paul is constantly researching and experimenting with the amazing fabric.

I dont know about those leather gaskets sandwiched between the rivets this could weaken over time rather than reinforce. If evisu decides to make a more suttle jean and less empathy on those seagull logo’s I am all in . To loud for me though !! Huge respect for evisu and what they have done for japanese denim

they really arent that loud plus they wear off with time as you wear the jeans.

What justifies the price of this jeans? No info on the fabric, the pocketing, just handpainted screaming loud seagull logo’s and leather gaskets as an extra (which most of the time were used on the inside) as Kai already mentions. Limited quantities? If they produce these jeans for a jear you still have 15×365 pairs around. I really don’t see the extra value.

you should really read about evisu and the value of their no.1 special fabrics

  • YouGuysAren’tThatBad

    Never liked Evisu.

    • YouAreThatBad

      and i never like you

  • Vintage EVIS Lover

Positives – 16oz denim weight, unsanforized

Negatives – Leather patch is ugly as funk, gulls look like fat machine painted with no personality at all, pricetag is a joke (You can proxy a pair of No.1 Specials with handpainted gulls from Japan for almost $400USD cheaper)

Seems such a waste leasing the Evisu name to these designers. Its just been fail after fail, year after year. MiJ is the only true Evisu
