Tellason Ladbroke Grove Slim Tapered 12.5 Oz Natural Selvedge

Tellason Ladbroke Grove Slim Tapered 12.5 Oz Natural Selvedge

Natural selvedge denim is becoming an increasingly popular material for use in the fashion industry. Quirky and unique selvedge colors are equally on trend, and well known Californian denim brand, Tellason, has paired the two elegantly in their recently released Ladbroke Grove jeans.

Tellason is a brand that is extremely proud of it’s American heritage and it’s full line of products that are exclusively made in the USA. Made from 12.5 oz. natural selvedge denim sourced from famous American denim producer, Cone Mills, the Ladbroke Grove jeans are designed with a slim tapered fit.

The jeans are slim/fitted around the seat and thigh, with a slight taper from the knee to the leg opening giving the jeans a slim, stylish profile. Keeping with Tellason’s flair for Americana, these aren’t a pair of jeans for the un-patriotic – the selvedge line on the Ladbroke Grove is emblazoned red, white and blue.

Very nice! i like the weight of the denim, the color, seems perfect for spring! the price also seems fair and i think that these might become popular. although a tiny thing, with other brands like naked and famous and Levi’s also doing natural selvedge, since these wont fade (i think) I personally might be a little more reluctant to pay a premium just for the fabric and quality. while i think those are important, im not sure if those qualities would translate in these jeans for me. also, is it just me or are those pocket bags kind of low? good article.

    • Rodspeed

I agree. It seems like the back pockets are a little low–at least as modeled in the picture. Nonetheless, I like the cut and the weight. Bravo

The back pockets on Tellasons tend to be on the larger side, one of the reasons I’ve stayed away from them. Large/low pockets are not a good look for shorter guys. For something similar, but more unique, check out Rogue Territory’s natural RK trouser. They’re made of similar fabric but have slant front pockets. The back pockets are also smaller and (imho) placed much better than the Tellasons. The Rogue Territory’s are only $195 but the quality is better than most brands closer to the $300 price range.

You lost the rights to use that line when you scammed us about showing your fit pictures!

If the selvedge line is only red and white just like the colors of the great maple leaf flag would you pay a premium for it in the name of patriotism?

      • Devan Prithipaul

The Great Candadian Flag is mostly red, while the selvedge here is only a little bit red. besides it has black in it too. I buy almost exclusively naked and famous jeans, and a large part of that is because they are made in Canada.

“Pocket bags” are on the inside of the jeans.

      • Devan Prithipaul

        Touche, i meant back pocket.

Natural = Undyed. It looks slightly off white N&F and Levi’s aren’t doing natural selvedge. Rogue Territory, Left Field NYC, Railcar, Jean Shop, and Tellason are brands that do natural selvedge

“I buy almost exclusively naked and famous jeans…”

Then please stop critiquing denim & workwear you see here. You clearly don’t know shit about it.

      • Devan Prithipaul

Naked and Famous has an Unbleached Weird Guy. meaning that it was never dyed. so yes they have the same thing for around 1/2 the cost. also this is not workwear, how many workers do you see wearing white jeans. looks like you’re the one who doesnt know anything.
