Iron Heart At Tuckshop & Sundry Supplies

On February 19th, Singaporean denim store Tuckshop & Sundry Supplies held their second Iron Heart party, an instrumental part of the Iron Heart South-East Asia tour 2013.

Tuckshop retails brands such as Mister Freedom, Red Wing, Rising Sun & Co., Red Cloud and of course, Iron Heart. They’ve also partnered up with the “leather” boys of Obbi Good Label to create a denim oasis in Southern Asia.

This years edition was a special one. Haraki-san, founder of Iron Heart Japan, was present together with Giles Padmore from Iron Heart, UK, as well as the brand’s pattern cutter, Tomoko-chan, and Sarina-chan.

The party included a denim presentation for the upcoming season, led by Haraki-san. He first gave a small lecture about the differences between the denims that Iron Heart uses, then showed a preview of the fabrics that would be release in the upcoming season. This included a 23 Oz. denim specially made for the Self Edge store and a very appealing 18.5oz. left hand twill.

This kind of denim event displays how popular the denim fabric can be in a specific community, particularly showing off Singapore and showing that they are firmly standing in the denim-nerd map.
