Fade Friday – Studio D’Artisan (15 Months, 6 Washes)

Fade Friday – Studio D’Artisan (15 Months, 6 Washes)

This week’s Fade Friday is brought to us by SuperFuture member “Domu.” For a pair of denim that has had 6 washes, this pair of Studio D’Artisan provide very good high contrast fades, particularly at the honeycombs.

By giving the jeans many washes Domu was able to achieve a even color throughout the jeans. As evident in many slim fitting denim as well, the honeycombs are more horizontal because the jeans sit tighter on the body of the wearer.

i actually love honeycombs, i love how it rips across your legs and you get that nice feeling of “crunch.” fades arent bad, but really it would have been nice if he wouldnt have washed them as much, like they’re washed out. they could have had real potential if they werent washed so much. i would have liked a picture of fit, especially for the combs it would have been nice.

          You’re on a “Fade Friday” post about a 15-month-old pair of jeans saying they’re “too faded”… -_-’

If anything, the frequent washes evened out the color, but these jeans aren’t faded enough! They still have plenty of life left in them!

i like deep indigo, high contrast fades. also thank you for -1 all of my comments. if this is about “fade friday” why would you want to even out the color.

I like the fading, but not the honeycombs. Anyone has any suggestion to have jeans faded without any or as little as possible honeycombs?

I find that if jean are a little big they don’t honeycomb as much. But maybe that’s just me…

That’s a mighty unpopular opinion saying you don’t like honeycombs; they’re one of the most highly-revered fade areas on a pair of jeans! If you really don’t like them though, I’d just suggest ironing out any creases that form after wearing them.

      Buy loose jeans. Wash frequently
