EVISU Snake Eyes Hand-Painted Denim – Just Released

main evisu

If you’re into something a little different – some might even say wacky – then EVISU might just your brand (but if that’s your M.O. you probably already know that).

Following up their “Gold Edition Denim – Lunar Year of The Snake” denim, EVISU is at it again and celebrating the Year of the Snake with a limited run of hand-painted Snake Eyes denim. Admittedly these jeans aren’t for everyone but that’s part of the allure of them.

If you’re in London, UK, you can check out their in house artist at work at their Newburgh Street store. These jeans are being sold on a first come first serve basis both in-store and online, so get at them while you can.

OMG SO COOL! Also kind of creepy having eyes on your ass, no picture of fit thats really too bad. is that a one sided selvedge? hmm interesting, but its strange theres not much mention of the denim. im getting the feel that Evisu is very gimmicky. hopefully they will focus more on denim quality.

Those eyes are a huge boner killer for me to grind my crotch at some poor dude’s ass in da club if he (or you) is wearing them…. oh wai-

I believe it’s selvedge on both sides; one side using white thread and the other using red. If one of the sides wasn’t selvedge, then they would need an overlock or similar stitch to keep the denim from falling apart.

evisu is wack and i never owned a pair. but you should probably atleast know who they are if youre going to be commenting on every article on a raw denim site..

all this hate for the brand that started this denim shit. evisu the first brand to sell over 100$. these are dope and very eye catching. if you wore other subtle items with this pair of denim the outfit would be dope. stop hating.

File these under “jeans for those still bemoaning the loss of JNCO.”

My first pair of raw denim jeans were a pair of Evisu I picked up in TK Maxx for pennies (relatively speaking). They were plain jeans without the ‘seagull’ motif on the pockets, and I remember being entranced by the weight of the fabric, their colour, and their starchy crispness. For a full couple of years they were my ‘best’ jeans, worn for holidays and high days, and I loved them. Alas, having not having come to appreciate the fades, I got rid of them after their initial uniform indigo started to dissipate, and they really started to gain character (I know, I know).
I guess my point is – it’s good denim, under all the gymcrack. But who the fuck wants a picture of an eye on their ass. Beats me.
