Naked & Famous Weird Guy Blue Weft Selvedge

Naked & Famous are always looking for new ways to innovate and push denim forward. With this blue weft selvedge jean, they’ve taken the dark indigo warp threads and added on a royal blue weft for an interesting contrast and a unique fade.

The blue on blue thread gives a darker blue jean, and fades into a lighter blue and white combination rather than the straight white fade that a typical denim will fade to. Retailer, tate + yoko, recommend wearing it cuffed to show off the interesting fabric around the cuffs as well as in the fade patterns.

Dudes… this is way too cool man… I am so gonna get a pair ASAP… just wish they would make it longer so I can cuff it all the way to the thighs and show off the selvedge+blue weft… That would be so extra cool!

you should just wear them inside out then ;) LOL

Err how do you expect me to use the pockets then?

I guess they could be a cheaper alternative to 3sixteens shadow selvedge

    • TooAwesome

i think you mean PBJs xx-17 cobalt blue weft. the shadow selvedge are indigo x black

word, this isnt actually a “new way of innovating and pushing denim forward”, that is, unless they glow in the dark with leopard prints. doesnt momotaro do something like this too?

there is a bit of a problem with the above article: you’re not going to fade to “royal blue” before you get to white. the contribution of the blue weft to the fading process is minimal – the most it does is add an overall darker color to an unfaded jean. it was like with the red weft jeans (and NOT to be confused with the red core jeans) – the only way to get to the red was to wear through the entire warp so you could actually see the weft … which is difficult to do …

oh – and the cuffing on that model looks ridiculous …

I agree about the whole core vs. weft thing, but…

      fat cuffs ftw c:

  • normal thighs

So… does that weird guy fit look suitable for a bodybuilder? Hmmmmm?
No, of course not. Doesn’t even fit a normal thighed guy… bah.
