Fade Friday – Kamikaze Attack x Naked And Famous (1 Month, 0 Washes)

This pair of Kamikaze Attack x Naked and Famous denim come to us from Jay Yi. While the photos aren’t of the greatest quality, we wanted to show an example of these unique jeans.

The fades Jay has managed on the back pockets are incredible after only a months wear, and you can see throughout theres a real potential for great fades. We look forward to seeing the way these jeans develop over time. Naked and Famous even has started up a competition to see how these jeans can be faded.

hmmm. Not sure if its really “Dark Indigo”. Looks like Sulphur Black to me.

Its not too difficult to achieve that quickly if you take some water sandpaper to them while wearing them – you can hit all the ridges of the whiskers while in various seated & standing positions especially effective with 14oz & up. This is the same way the commercial laundries get the resin whiskers on pre processed denim while using ‘poseable’ mannequins. If this is really the wear after 1 month then kudos but i doubt it even if the indigo is dyed with a fast ‘chip’ off’ effect.

It doesn’t look artificial..iv done the sanding thing before and it didn’t look like these fades. I could be wrong but I think they look legit

    looks gross

They may be “good” fades for a month, but the shitty pictures really make me wonder why these even made it to Fade Friday. I bet if it wasn’t for that iPhone(?) fade in the back left pocket, we wouldn’t even be talking about this.

I get the sense that there aren’t too many decent submissions happening for FF lately.

Those are ridiculous fades for a month. I doubt those jeans will last much more than 6 months.

A real fast fading sample here in just one month!

I really like it. Whatever the quality of material used in these jeans, the mobile fading is super cool.

Has anyone been wearing these and having issues with the seams and such coming apart??? I’ve had mine since the November 30th and that have multiple holes from the seams coming apart?

yes! especially near the crotch area and even the cuff too!

  • chicagolaw1

Nothing to see here folks. It’s not hard to get a back pocket fade like that if the pockets are tight and you put the phone/tobacco tin/brass knuckles in there when the jeans are brand new.
