Edwin / Oi Polloi 10th Anniversary ED-49 – Just Released

Edwin x Oi Polloi 10th Anniversary ED-49

One of our favorite British retailers, Oi Polloi, recently teamed up with top Japanese manufacturer Edwin denim to produce a collaborative jean made from a dream denim – a deadstock, green selvage, right hand weave, 14.5 oz denim from Cone Mills, the North Carolina mill who have been supplying quality denim since the early 1900s.

The jean apparently melds two of Oi Polloi‘s favorite Edwin denim styles, the ED49 and the Nashville, in which the ‘chassis’ of the ED49 is combined with the pocket details of the Nashville. They’re both great jeans, so we’re sure the collaborative jean will be a great all-around feel.

Oi Polloi’s signature magpies are featured on the traditional Edwin leather patch, one of the attractive details alongside the heavyweight canvas pockets, good long inseam, and great stitching that we’ve come to expect from Edwin throughout.

The jeans are a very limited run as only 100 were made, so if you want to get your hands on a pair of the Magpies, hop on over to Oi Polloi now to place your order. Or if you prefer to pick up a pair in-person, the batch will be dropping in their store on October 2nd. Save the date and camp out by your laptop to get yours.

Green selvedge is a nice touch. If I didn’t have about 6 pairs of jeans I’m rotating through right now, I’d be tempted to grab some.

An amazing choice of denim, and I really love the details, but I must say that it appears to provide a rather unflattering fit. :/
