The Flat Head 2011 Model – 20 oz. Raw Denim

The Flat Head is known for being “particular” about its products, which is once of the reasons they’re so well-known and loved. Their 3XXX denim is a staple in the closets of hardcore denimheads all over the world, known for its fast fading and incomparable vertical falling.

Flat Head’s equally-famous 3001 cut is also a favourite due to its modern slim fit. It seemed unnecessary to alter an already flawless combination of excellent denim and flattering cut and yet, Flat Head being the brand it is, it was decided to do something different!

For their 15th Anniversary, The Flat Head released their 2011 jeans. Utilizing denim of an unprecedented (for Flat Head, at least) 20 oz. weight, they created limited editions of their signature 3001 and 3005 fits. Despite the heavier weight, the 20 oz. denim is said to fade similarly to the ever-popular 3XXX denim. Needless to say, when we come upon photos of a well-worn pair, you’ll see them on a Fade Friday.

To our knowledge, Tate + Yoko is the only shop carrying the 2011 jeans outside of Japan, but act fast if you’re interested as their stock of the 2015 model is already gone!
