Eternal 883 - Vertical Falling

Fade Friday – Eternal 883 (1.5 Years, 9 Washes)

This week’s Fade Friday comes to us courtesy of Sean Slater, our friend and Managing Editor here at Rawr Denim. Though he intended for this to just be featured in our forum, it was just too good to pass up and not to be shared in the limelight!

» Note: Do you have a denim fade that you’d like to share with our community? Post in our “Fades & Progressions” thread!

Purchased at Americaya in Ueno, Tokyo back in 2010, Sean has washed these Eternal 883 One-Wash every couple months (thus about 9 washes) and worn them for a total of about 1.5 years.

As you can see below, Eternal – the Japanese label with superior material, sewing, and processing – is renowned for their quality fades, particularly vertical falling.

For all photos, please see Sean’s original thread and feel free to leave your comments below or directly on the forum!

same problem as my eternals – too many washes.

  • Homogeneity

Wow, that dye certainly is quite stubborn. Nine washes…

Not every jean has to have some crazy high contrast atari fades to be considered good fades, those look well worn in, more of a “vintage” look especially since the cut isnt skinny, good job on those eternals

      So true.

    • Nezar

Actually, no selvedge denim comes in “skinny” cut. Most likely “slim tapered” or “skinny straight”.

      • mistahdabolina

thats really beside the point…and naked n famous has a skinny cut, as well as japan blue, dior homme, i could go on.

Nice whiskers. Indigo still looking deep. ETERNAL 883 is truly a deep indigo japanese denim jeans. http://denimartistpp.wordpress.com/

The problem is not with the fades, but with Eternal’s denim.

Extremely weak fades! I’ve gotten better from a year with no washes than these.
