Fade Friday - Nudie Grim Tim Dry Dirt Organic (2 Years, 1 Washes)

This week’s Fade Friday shows off a pair of Nudie Grim Tim Dry Dirt Organic’s that has been in the work since May 2010 (check out our earlier Fade Friday of Nudie Grim Tim’s).  These shots were sent to us from @tysonbreuer, along with a great time lapse video (see below) of the first wash.

This denim took a spill of chicken wings and beer in their first week, and some blood from a cut knee a year in, but Tyson held off on a wash for nearly two years (!).  Note the patching work too, done with original Nudies denim

how did you repair those rips?

    • http://twitter.com/tysonbreuer Tyson Breuer

i emailed Nudie and asked for patches and then took them to a place in Toronto that would patch them without requiring me to wash them on Queen St.

I just recently purchased the exact same pair.. How long did it take you to really break in the denim? I hear since its so dry, the process takes longer then regular selvage denim. And did you size down at all? Im wondering if i need to size down to where they are super tight vs. just being fitted.

probably 3-4 months to break them in. i always get the tightest size that i can squeeze into and then after a couple weeks they fit better and by the time of this video they hung off me. the grim tim cut suits me – so i just go hella tight

Wonderful jeans and wonderful repairs also.
How did you manage to damage this Nudie this way in less than 2 years? I gues you cycled daily with it.
    Really love it.

im pretty hard on my jeans and wore them nearly everyday without soaking, washing or any real care. so they got pretty tattered just by working in them all day everyday
