If by chance you are in Hong Kong and have even the slightest interest in vintage clothing, you won’t want to miss out on this one.
Roughly two years ago, three individuals sensed an ever increasing demand for vintage American clothing and denim in Hong Kong. However, the problem was that most people could not afford vintage garments, as it is either difficult to hunt down and/or commands a hefty price.
Enter Workware Heritage Clothing – believing each object has a story, they decided to transition their 10 years vintage clothing collecting into a physical shop dedicated to providing timeless garments and products. Items within their selection are often second-hand, always directly imported from the US, and includes military jackets, t-shirts, accessories, and home antiques.
However, not only does the retailer specialize in other vintage collectibles, but they also have their own in-house denim line. Inspired by the reproduction of vintage levis cut and details, Workware Heritage Clothing released three models – the Lot 3700 (details and cut from Levis 1937), Lot 4400 (details and cut from Levis 1944 – the World War II model), and Lot 4700 (details and cut from Levis 1947).
The cotton is sourced from China, but of beautiful quality, great look and feel, and red-line selvedge. Vintage details range from the chain stitched hems and cinch back (Lot 3700) to the Japanese-made hardware, such as the rivets and buttons.
If you are based in or ever passing through Hong Kong, drop by their shop and let us know what you think!
Stay Raw!
