Thankfully, countries, non-profits, and individuals all around the world responded in droves to help with relief efforts. However, as the country is still very much in the rebuilding process, it’s very interesting to see recent projects and endeavours popping up to give aid.
Enter Northern Denim Co.
The brainchild of Taavi Kulsma, owner of Finnish-based denim shop, Nordic Denim House, Northern Denim Co. was launched as a Finnish vintage denim brand, with its first denim, the Lot 3010, as a non-profit project. All profits from the denim is donated to those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Directly upon realizing the situation, a decision was made to make the Northern Denim Co. Lot 3010 project a non-profit charity project, with a goal to help those affected by the disaster.
Thus all profits made from the Northern Denim Co. Lot 3010 project are donated to the earthquake and tsunami victims of the disaster that struck Japan on March 11th 2011.

Also, for those who tend to correlate quality with the price tag (they let you determine the price; minimum 16o euros), don’t be deceived. Sanforized and intended to fit true-to-size, the denim is detailed in simple fashion and utilizes Memphis cotton woven in the famous denim mills of Okayama, Japan.
