Fade Friday - Rogue Territory RK (3 Months, No Washes)

This week’s Fade Friday is not only special for the fades it has achieved thus far (only three months in), but, more importantly, what it stands for - not washing nor giving up.  Even though this individual has gone through turmoil with their pair of Rogue Territory RK denim, they have stood true to not washing nor cleaning off the filth and nastiness they have endured. Update: this individual did in fact wash their denim afterward. Apologies for the confusion caused.

For those curious, this person wore these pair of Rogue Territory 6 Oz. RK through a variety of harsh activities and in pretty dirty environments (e.g. sewers!). Big shout out to Karl of Rogue Territory for taking the time to hook us up with these shots.

It’ll be interesting to see what impression is left, around that back left pocket when they do eventualy get washed.

Wonder how long the owner plans to go without washing…These have some serious potential.

i’m not sure i’d be able to refrain from washing if i went through a sewer

is that poop on his pocket

    I’m sorry, but that’s gross.

I’ve gone 6+ months without washing, but if during that time, something happened to my jeans that might jeopardize my hygiene or health, I’d wash without hesitation.

It’s time to stop promoting this ideal of never washing under any circumstances, as if it’s some sort of competition.

In any case, many denimheads have found that it’s still possible to get epic fades while washing. You just have to know how to do it.

thats just nasty.  how can you promote this.  i mean if its paint then cool, but a sewer.  i doubt that preppy looking dude went into the sewers.  did he drop his field notes.  ahaha.  I’m not trying to hate hear let me add. also, 6oz denim?  is it too hot out there on the west coast or something.  Imo 6oz denim is not toughing it out like the 14oz or greater jeans rockers who overtime earn that softness which stems from real wear.

love the site.  more posts please.  worst fade friday yet.

I’m the guy who took the pictures, so let me clear a few things up. The shots were taken the morning after some friends and I went into a storm drain to do some long exposure photography. He slipped and fell, hence the mud patch.

I thought the mud added some character so I shot them while dirty, and he washed them afterwards.

Do what you will with your jeans, but I just wanted to correct any misconceptions.

@google-c1b713670c202bb41389882be70e951f:disqus Thanks very much for clearing up. We had contacted Karl (of Rogue Territory who sent us the photos) to find out and were waiting on his reply.

Apologies to all for any inconvenience, we’ll make changes shortly and keep this in mind for the future.

Pen pocket in the back? So you stick a pen in there, sit down on it and are rewarded with a lovely ink stain? Seems like a bad place to store a pen.

Aboit never washing: The Jeansmuseum recommands to wait with washing as long as possible to receive  better fading results.

So one possibility is to wear your raw denim stuff inn 3 stages: First of all start breaking tehm in, when the colder season is starting.

Then wear in 3 stages: As nice pants in the office or at school
Then as second class leisure pants for hiking, bicycling,…
In the last stahe as third class work pants for teh real bad work out in the dirt. In this last step the pants can stay outside the bunkhouse, so no matter if tehy are dirty or stinky or filthy then

That way I never have to wash my pants or denim jackets so far.
