Just Released: Naked & Famous Herringbone Raw Denim

Naked & Famous Herringbone Raw Denim

Naked & Famous Herringbone Raw Denim

Announced several weeks ago on their blog, Naked & Famous has released yet another new raw denim model – the Herringbone Selvedge Denim.  Naked & Famous use of the fabric pattern is indeed quite unique and their intent for the denim gives it even more substance.  According to their blog:

The red white red selvedge edge is a great contrast to the dark indigo surface and looks great when cuffed. The denim is crisp but not too stiff. To me, this is the perfect work-appropriate jeans. We even removed the leather patch so it can be worn by our accountant and lawyer friends who aren’t allowed to wear jeans to work!

Also, for those unfamiliar with herringbone, it’s a specific V-type pattern that is usually found in twill fabric. Although it’s usually applied to wool in suits and outerwear (e.g. tweed jackets), it is possible to find it used in other fabrics, such as denim.

They actually have a true herringbone twill pant as well. A lot softer, but definitely not ‘raw denim’. I wonder if it’s raw at all and whether or not I should hold off from washing them.

Seen these at the Barneys in Vegas along with the grey herringbone’s, and the multi-color weft and have to say they look Alot better in person :)
