It’s no secret that Self Edge is one of the true raw denim purveyors in North America. Founded by Kiya Babzani and Demitra Georgopoulos, they carry labels such as The Flat Head, Iron Heart, Sugar Cane and Co., Sling and Stone, etc., have shops in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and provide specialty services like hemming on a vintage Union Special Chainstitching Machine.
Aside from being true denim experts, the main value Self Edge offers is that they specialize in reproductions of vintage Americana denim from 1920’s – late 50’s à la Japanese denim and designers. As you’ll hear in the video (below), before they were around, many of the brands they carry were not offered in North America.
